For the front cover of BERKOWITZ‘s second album I was re-drawing the famous photograph of a student stopping tanks on Tiananmen square in Beijing during the protests of 1989. The album’s main lyrical theme is oppression of the weak, injustice and violence against innocents and the struggle against it and that is why I chose this incredible image as the artwork’s base.




The booklet and the backcover contain more illustrations resembling photos of events such as the 9/11 attacks or the tortured prisoners of Abu Ghraib, Iraq.




Youtube actually deleted the official trailer video for “Sent To Dominate” – but not because of copyright violations, no… because of “too much violence”. I think they did not quite understand the whole thing of showing what is wrong in the world. Even though it was explicitlt written in the video description. That’s like censoring the news, what do you think?
